Trying to do better

Hey Everyone: I have been really late on this page, but I am still here. I have been kinda busy with just living life. Well, nothing exciting is going on, but I am still happy about life and living. Have you ever daydreamed about being someone else or just seeing yourself in a different light? I have always felt that having a daydream is positive because it shows that you are at least thinking about different things. And to see yourself in a different light always does wonders, if it is not something that reflects negatively on you. It is all about being positive regardless of what people say or do to you or what we say or do ourselves. Most of the things that happen in our life once we reach the age of understanding is through our own decisions. Once I realized that life will happen and things happen I realized that it is my response that matters more than what actually happened. Well enough of my ranting for the day. Just wanted to pose a question about how you think of yourself and how you respond to how people think of you. Until next time, keep a cheer going on. Forgive Me

I am so sorry that it took me a long time to post but I have been super busy doing work for my PhD in Human Services. Got my little grands with me so that takes up a lot of time. Then I have my family, friends and loved ones needing some help from me, so I will be returning shortly to comment on what I think. Happy Easter though.

How Sweet The Sound

It sounds so good to hear the words President Barack Obama. I am so in awe of the greatness of God and how he works so mysteriously. Well, you know all the hate has already started because some black designers are saying Michelle should have worn one of their outfits for the inaguration and the balls. But President Obama said that he was for the people, not just black people. So we need to do better black people. The designer of the first outfit for the inaguration was latina and the ball outfit was fit for a princess of her caliber was from an asian designer. Michelle, do you and forget what others have to say. People will always have something to say because they can. This is a free country so we have freedom of speech. Some members of the press are upset with Barack because he did not include them in on the re-do of the oath that Chief Justice Roberts screwed up. Deal with it people, Barack is not a lame duck person and never will be. Do your think Mr. President and First Lady.

LOVE IT

I found this website called balleralert.com on the web the other day. I absolutely love it. My favorite part is the one about the girl who is telling her story about her life with rich and famous men. She is currently dating a basketball player and they are getting married, but she talks about her cheating and her lifestyle. I absolutely love it because the writings are interesting and I found it yesterday at posting #20. So I had to go back and read the previous postings. They are hot as fire. I love readings like this because if what she is saying is true, she lives a very, very interesting life. Needless to say, I needed this type of reading because it is so different than I am. And plus I needed something interesting to read since my grandkids were away at a party. Anyhoo, kudos to those who write interesting stories for others to read. Third Resolution

My third and final resolution is that I want to do everything in love and through a pure heart. To me being sincere is the upmost respect that I can show myself and others. I believe that we are taught to do things that are right, as such we may not do something that is just, fair or for the right reasons. Being pure hearted and operating out of a heart of love means so much to me because it causes me to know that I will do when it is necessary and without being biased against someone. Have you ever seen how people will do something for someone with conditions attached to it? I think that people should do just because they love doing it, not because they want something in return or because the person meets their requirements. Gone are the days where I put limitations on doing for someone or even myself. I want the pure heart, the righteous spirit and to love God with my whole heart, soul, mind, spirit and with all of my strength, and to love people as I love myself. That is why doing things out of pure heart and a right heart will be my forte. Well, enough of me for the resolutions, right? Until next time, keep a prayer going on. Surabi

Second Resolution for 2009

For my second new years resolution, I told the Lord that I want to eat healthier, lose weight and maintain it with a continued healthy eating plan. Now once I had my kids, I blew up. And I really blew up. I believe that my deep rooted reason for using food as a defense mechanism was to help myself deal with possible rejection by someone I wanted to accept me. In the United States of America, we have a fixation with weight and as such I sought to destroy the notion of anyone rejecting me, whether it be my family, friends, strangers, society, etc. by doing what I could to deal with the possible rejection by looking as someone who instantly is scorned. I know this sounds crazy but it is amazing how the brain or emotions seek to deal with it's issues.

As you can see, I am the direct opposite of what someone would normally do when faced with issues. Most people will do what is necessary to fit into all of the stereotypes that depict what is acceptable in life and society. But me because I am such a unique character and different in all ways, by no means average, I would do the opposite of others. This also helped me ot be the best person from the inside because I only sought a few people to associate with on a regular basis and the others I did not have to deal with because they were prejudiced against me in the beginning. Off the bat I was judged, so I did not have to deal with their issues or their fake want to do something for you. I basically understand now that I want realness and judging someone based on color, size, economic status, education level, etc. is so fake and tired.

But in all of my doing things opposite, God showed me how to do things in a positive way to reach my goals in life and with people. He taught me not to destroy myself to deal with life and expectations or other people's issues. So my second resolution is to deal with rejection in a positive way and not go down a hill of unhealthy habits. Now I am seeking to exercise with a program called sit and be fitter. As you can see I am not a mobile person and as such need to do exercises that assist me to reach a healthy mobility level. Also I am on a healthy eating plan. Now some people just need to limit what they eat, but I had to change my habits all together. Instead of eating a large amount each time ate, I am eating 8 times a day basically snacking on things, like carrots, yogurt, salad, cereal bars, drinking lots of water, crackers, tuna fish, and one meal at dinner which may or may not consist of meat. It is working wonders for me because I feel good already and have not had to take any sleeping pills to sleep. So it is working out fine. HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR

I just want to wish everyone a happy, happy new year and a wonderful day everyday of your life. I only made three resolutions this year as i felt these were the most important for me to move to the next level of my blessed life. My first one is to become an intimate partner with the Lord Jesus Christ. Many times we go to church, sing, dance, fast and even pray and read the bible sometimes. But being intimate with someone involves more than following a program, it requires getting to know the person and talking everyday, trusting them, believing in what they say, and acting on it. It means doing what it takes to make the relationship work and doing what pleases them without looking for something in return. I believe having an intimate relationship with Christ involves me making changes with attitude, mind process, thought process and intent of my heart. I know that God will help me to serve him with my whole heart, soul, mind, spirit and strength. It is my resolution to do what is right by God because as the good book says, you can gain the whole world, but lose your soul. It is not worth. Always being prepared is one of the mottos of life. The 6 P's say, Prior Preparation Prevents a Piss Poor Performance. I believe that safety comes first. So being prepared for whatever happens and when it happens is the best safety prevention I know.
